Shawn grew up on Mercer Island and graduated from Mercer Island high School. He attended Bellevue College, and keeps his skills sharp with continuing education classes in real estate, the stock market and the construction industry. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, son-in-law, and two grandkids ages fourteen and twelve. A life long Northwesterner , Shawn spends his free time gardening, hiking, and skiing. He is also a proficient scuba diver, but saves that for warmer waters, while on vacation.
